Sarkis is the founder and principal of Babikian Tax & Financial Services located in Stoneham, Massachusetts. He brings a varied and thorough work experience to the business.
Mr. Babikian successfully completed introductory and advanced level tax law courses and successfully passed the stringent and comprehensive two day Enrolled Agent examination administered by the Internal Revenue Service which covered all aspect of the tax code. He became a federally licensed practitioner, Enrolled Agent (EA), after passing the test and the rigorous background check conducted by IRS.
Sarkis earned the prestigious Enrolled Agent (EA) designation from the United States Department of Treasury in May 4, 2006, and the Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) designation from the Society of Certified Senior Advisors in October 9, 2007.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, and Manufacturing Engineering Certificate from Tufts University, in Medford, Massachusetts.
Prior to establishing this business, He worked several years as a Master Tax Advisor for H&R Block and as a Tax Accountant for two other CPA firms. While working for these firms he also served as a Tax Aide Counselor, Stoneham Site Coordinator, Tax Law instructor to other volunteers, and District Technical Coordinator for the IRS VITA/TCE volunteer program.
After working 7 years in the tax & financial industry, he realized the need for providing accurate, affordable, reliable, and timely services to all taxpayers regardless of their economic status as an alternative to the high cost tax & financial firms.
